November 2021  Hello! Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers. What a blessing it is to have both the local church as well as the Church all over the world caring for you and loving you. November has been such a sweet month though still challenging as we are still having ramifications from Stephen's three weeks gone from school (from his aunt passing and the kidney stone).   Our neighbors had a 'friendsgiving' which was a huge blessing of community! This month has held both heartache and sweet moments. It was challenging to be away from family for the holidays but we were surrounded by faculty at the school who welcomed us into their homes for thanksgiving. We are so thankful for the staff and faculty here! One of the biggest blessings of a small school is the nature of the relationships that the students get to have with the professors and faculty.  As we head into our last week of classes and then a couple weeks of finals- we need your prayers!  Stephen  is working so hard to catch up from those three weeks out of school!  I am so proud of him! We were pretty convinced that it would be impossible for him to catch up but he is working to make deadlines and learn the information he needs to. One of my favorite things about seminary is that as we grow in our knowledge of God, our heart's affection for him and for our neighbor are expanding! The work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of man is truly mysterious but it is also a beautiful and joyous thing! Please keep us in your prayers this week and as we journey through seminary. This is the foundation for, Lord willing, a lifetime in ministry and we are already so encouraged by the foundation that has begun to be laid over this first year. If you are interested in the things we are learning- I am hoping to write some blog posts for the website over our winter break to be able to bless others with what we are being blessed with!  We would love to hear about how your Thanksgiving was and what your Christmas plans are!  Much love and many blessings, The Byrd’s  Prayer Requests and Praises - Praise for the Lord providing us family in Christ when we are far from family - Praise for our health being sustained this month -Prayer For a deeper understanding in our minds and hearts of who Christ is as we dive into the beautiful riches of theological study -Prayer for strength of heart and encouragement for Stephen as he works incredibly hard to try and catch up. Specifically for focus in those late nights awake and that the Holy Spirit would solidify in his mind what he is learning -Prayer for myself as I try and balance school, household tasks, and helping Stephen through these weeks   Partner With Us Here!
