This is a time to intentionally lay the foundation,

to be rooted & grounded in Christ & the knowledge of Him,

as He matures us into faithful ambassadors of the Gospel.

In the Already

  • We are in seminary to be equipped theologically, historically, linguistically, and biblically before going overseas for long term service.

  • Actively serving in the local church context growing in maturity and ministry experience; while, being poured into and encouraged onward in our race.

  • Proactively sharing our faith in our secular work environments and other life avenues

Proclaiming the Whole Christ

This season is one of deep and nourishing study of the entirety of who Christ is, as He is, as we delve into the riches of scripture and theology. To proclaim the whole Christ, we must know the whole Christ in as much as He has revealed.

As we are learning who He is as revealed in scripture, we are actively sharing His person and work in our secular contexts.

Cultivating Whole Disciples

Currently, this looks a lot like relationships with our fellow seminarians as we challenge and encourage one another in the Scriptures and labor to partner with God in the growth of our brothers and sisters around us.

That also works in the opposite direction as we are being cultivated by our local church, fellow seminarians, and professors as whole disciples of Christ.

Suffering Serving and Rejoicing

While We Wait

The reality of life on this side of eternity is one of living under the shadow of the cross. Jesus promised that in this world we will have troubles.

Therefore, we expect suffering in this life while knowing that perseverance in our pilgrimage is for the joy set before us in eternity with Christ.

Currently this looks like faithfully walking forward in the grief of losing our child while simultaneously having many reasons to rejoice along the way. It also includes the service of comfort to others who are grieving and suffering.

We live in a sinful world full of suffering but, we have a good good Father who gives us endless reasons for rejoicing.
